The Noyo Harbor District is working to install a new 20-ton flake ice machine. Currently the District is aiming the have the facility online in September 2025. Ice is considered to be critical infrastructure for the commercial fishing fleet. The fleet not only takes ice to sea to preserve their catch but uses ice as they ship fish out of Noyo Harbor. This project is being funded by the California Economic Development Department.
